Feature request: Replies inherit parent tags

I have some rules for auto-tagging messages as they arrive in my inbox. This works great for organizing everything within smart mailboxes. Ideally, I would also like my sent messages to be included in the smart mailboxes so that I can have complete threads captured there together. Currently, I have to remember to tag my replies manually for this to work, and I often forget to do so. This could be solved automatically if there were an option for Replies to inherit tags from the parent message. I don't know of a way to implement this within MailMate's existing functionality, but it would be a useful feature for me.

This is essentially how the Muted feature works, but it's not (yet) a general feature.
As a workaround you might be able to utilise something like this on your Sent Messages mailbox:
Condition: Thread-ID is in [Smart mailbox with tagged messages] Thread-ID Action: Tag with the same tagYou'll need one for each tag.

@Nicholas: Unfortunately, I have many unanswered tickets. Typically from periods where I've been overwhelmed by feedback. (Right now I'm working my way back new tickets added during my vacation.)

i've this same request - tagging sents. but i don't think i got it. let me try to explain [to myself].
if the sent message was a reply that was tagged benny's trick works.
but if the sent is a new message, it tags all of those also.
this is what seemed to happen for me

I would also like this feature.
The rules type solution above would be OK if it didn't needed to be added for each tag. An alternative would be a checkbox in Tag settings for "Replies inherit all tags", which would auto-add them in the compose window, and you could then edit if desired.
