Feature request: command+search to search in new viewer window
Reported by Zvi Biener | November 13th, 2017 @ 01:59 PM
I use search often, but don't want to move away from my currently viewed message. I do this by opening a new viewer window, and running the search there. Would it be possible to at a modifier key to the search command that would automatically do this? For example, if command is down while enter is pressed (in the search bar), the search opens in a new viewer. (Like a browser search allows a new tab to be opened, if command is down). Thanks!

I'm thinking it would be better if the search shortcut (⌥⌘F) could be configured to always opening a new window? (Maybe all types of searches.)
You could try a custom key binding like this:
N = ( "newMessagesViewerWindow:", "searchAllMessages:" );
Would that work for you?
