Feature request: Customisable notification alerts

Could we have some customisation options for the notifications?

The banner style alert has just two actions, the main alert that can be clicked to open the new email, and to the right is a single button to reply.

Apple Mail has an additional action, ‘trash’. That’s useful, I find myself often using the trash button, and it would be even better if MailMate’s notification banner alert buttons could be customised (maybe someone would like to add an archive button for example).

    After quite a few hours of hacking around with public and private APIs I still wasn't able to replicate the behavior of Apple Mail. I'm able to add a “Close” button in “banner” mode and I've done that now (otherwise it's only in “alert” mode). If you prefer a delete action instead of reply then it can be enabled like this:

    defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmNotificationDeleteButtonEnabled -bool YES

    Technically, a more general solution could be made allowing a set of actions instead of just a single action, but this is then also a bit slower to use since it'll have to be a popup-button. I'll put the ticket in “accepted” mode for such a feature (but no time frame).

    Thanks Benny, that’s great, I’ve already made some use of the delete button.

    It’s good that you’re not applying it to multiple messages either, in my attached screen shot you can see Apple Mail applies those buttons to groups of messages – why’d I want that!?
