Smart folders by tag are not correctly filtering messages
Reported by Pradip Thachile | November 14th, 2016 @ 01:54 AM
Version: v1.9.5 (5263)
Summary: Smart mailbox with sub-mailboxes for each tag; one
sub-mailbox seems to not correctly filter messages for only that
tag, including messages that used to have that tag. This
issue began with the latest update.

Could you update to the latest test release and confirm that this is still an issue: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.

I updated to the latest release (1.9.5 5301) and the problem persists.

Ok, thanks for trying.
Does the issue persist if you click on another mailbox and then go back to the mailbox?
Does the issue persist if you relaunch MailMate?
Could you send me the following file via “Help ▸ Send Feedback”? I'd like to look for anything which might make this particular tag “different”.
~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Tags.plist
Can you reproduce the behavior? If yes, what are the steps needed?
In order to spot what might trigger this behavior then also try enabling the “Raw Flags” column in the message list.

Only for this particular tag is this behaviour reproducible
If yes, what are the steps needed?
I just navigate to the sub-mailbox created for this particular tag, all other tags are okay
... try enabling the “Raw Flags” column ...
I've enabled this and for e-mails where the tag is present (and should be in the folder), I see that same tag in the Raw Flags column. For e-mails where the tag is not present (and should NOT be in the folder), I do NOT see that tag in the Raw Flags. Screen shot attached.

I am having the same or a similar issue. In my case, I just linked all of the tags up in the Tags pane with Gmail labels. All of the top-level Gmail labels (i.e., WidgetCorp) show up properly as tags. However, the child labels (i.e., WidgetCorp/Tardis) don't show up. What can be done?
