MailMate/GMail recurring auth pop-up
Reported by Nicole Borrelli | August 31st, 2016 @ 07:17 PM
MailMate keeps popping up the window/dialog to authorize my GMail accounts, even if I select "Allow". This is happening both with a pure GMail.com account as well as a Google Apps account.

It's not a general issue with Gmail, but you are not alone. For the past ~24 hours, several users have reported a similar issue, but I haven't yet figured out what triggers it. I think it's a Google issue/policy, but I'm not sure yet.
I'll update this ticket if I find a solution.
See this thread for more information. Note that it appears you can cancel the requesters and then take the accounts online again to avoid entering the passwords.

I have four Google Apps Gmail accounts. They were all continuously having this problem over the previous couple days. I stopped having the issue when I upgraded to beta 1.9.5 (5260).
Thanks!

@Jeff: Thanks for the data point. Apparently 1.9.5 does fix it for some users (or it's a coincidence). Unfortunately that does not appear to work for all users.
Here's my latest mailing list message about this issue: https://www.mail-archive.com/mailmate@lists.freron.com/msg06734.html
@Nicole: If you want to try the latest beta then you can find it in the Software Update preferences pane within MailMate. Let me know whether or not that makes a difference.

It does not make a difference for me. I upgraded to 1.9.5 (5260) and I am still getting prompted.

@Michael: Sorry to hear that. If you have time and understand how to do it then please follow the instructions on this page: https://www.mail-archive.com/mailmate@lists.freron.com/msg06734.html
I haven't yet received any such logs and since I cannot reproduce the issue myself then it's hard to make any progress.
Thanks in advance.
