Syncs for days and doesn't stop

I have a current version of MailMate. After it crashed and restarted I was asked whether I want to rebuild from cached messages or whether I want to download all messages again.

I chose to re-download the messages.Apart from one account everything went fine. One account however keeps syncing and syncing and syncing. It works if I use Apple Mail but I would not want to switch back so the question is what can we do .

    First try the latest test release to see if that makes a difference: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Updates preferences pane.

    If that doesn't help then let it spin while you do this:

    • Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0).
    • Wait 20-30 seconds.
    • Use “Help ▸ Send Server Logs”.

    Then I can review what's going on.
