Feature request: "Non-smart" folders for organizing Smart Mailboxes
Reported by fnurl | December 13th, 2015 @ 10:43 AM
I use quite a few Smart Mailboxes and would like to create "ordinary" folders to organize my Smart Mailboxes.
I found a workaround by duplicating the default
Examples
Smart Mailbox, since it does not have any
source folders associated with it. It would be nice however to have
"ordinary" folders with a distinct icon to distinguish
them from the built-in folders (Inbox, Drafts, etc)
and the user created Smart Mailboxes.

Ah, I found the section on Low-Level Customization in the Help! I'll do it that way.

Kind of a duplicate of #42 (very old issue :-) ), but I'll keep this ticket open for tracking this specific issue (creating group mailboxes).

Perhaps an option whereby the containing folder can have as it's message list the union of all of its sub-smart folders.

It's possible to remove all mailboxes in the Mailboxes pane of the mailbox editor. That now puts the mailbox into the same state as “Examples”.
