Hangs when asking to use info stored in keychain
Reported by Menza Dudley | October 15th, 2015 @ 11:49 AM
When I open Mailmate, a dialog pops up asking if I wasn't to use the information stored in "InternetAccounts Access Group" in your keychain. If I click any of the buttons, Always Allow, Deny or Allow, MailMate hangs with the dialog still on the screen and I have to force quit.

This requester is displayed by OS X when trying to access a keychain item. It might be a problem with your keychain or MailMate is somehow implicitly able to trigger the hang.
Make sure you allow MailMate to send crash reports in the General preferences pane. You can likely launch MailMate if you take the machine offline (MailMate looks in the keychain when getting passwords for connecting to accounts). Also fetch the latest test release to make sure this is not somehow a fixed issue: http://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/MailMate_r5147.tbz
Thanks in advance.

I tried the latest release and it did the same thing. I was able to open the program when I took my computer offline. It is already set to send crash logs.

Could you try the following command in a Terminal window when MailMate hangs:
sample MailMate 5 -f ~/Desktop/sample_mailmate.txt
Then send me the resulting file (or upload it here).

For some reason after the terminal command ran, the app asked for a password and started working. I am attaching the file so maybe you can see what happened.

That file is actually a MailMate bug. I was looking for
sample_mailmate.txt
, but it won't help if MailMate no longer hangs.I'll close the ticket for now, but let me know if the problem returns. (I still think the most likely explanation is a problem with your keychain and not with MailMate itself.)
