Mail deletion can't be undone

Reported by Luca | November 19th, 2014 @ 04:31 PM

A small bug, I believe. It should always be possible to undelete a message with cmd+z. This is not the case when the deletion happens when the message is open in its own window.

Replicate:

Open message by pressing [Enter]
Press [Backspace] to delete
-- message goes in Deleted folder --

Press [CTRL-z]
-- nothing happens --

    • State changed from “new” to “bluesky”

That would be tricky to handle. The undo stack is related to the current window. Deleting an open message automatically closes the window and the undo stack is lost. It's not even clear what should happen -- reopen the window after moving the message back?

The only easy fix would be to make it optional to close the window...

Improving this is going to be a quite low priority which is why I'm marking the ticket bluesky.
