Freron MailMate

It would greatly improve my workflow in organizing my incoming mail if MM had a direct way to move all selected messages (e.g. from an ad hoc search result list) into an IMAP folder created after the selection of the messages.

ESPECIALLY helpful would be a variation of the existing "Save" button in the ad hoc search view that turns a search of a single mailbox into a new filtering rule for that mailbox and a new IMAP mailbox:

1. Create a new mailbox (UI to give it a name and location).
   
2. Add the current search as a filtering rule to the current mailbox.
   
3. Move the messages in the result list to the newly created mailbox.

Use case:
I get new mail in various IMAP folders fed primarily by server-side filters, and from time to time it becomes necessary to subdivide the stream being delivered into one of these folders (e.g.: INBOX, my system alerts folder, my default bin for mail sent to tagged addresses, etc.) to be more manageable. A very long time using Eudora created my habit of finding the messages to be moved first and having a "New..." option in the UI for selecting a target mailbox for the move. Smart Mailboxes are a poor fit for this because I access my mail from multiple devices.
