MailMate rejects me.com password

Hello.
I had a severe issue with the submission pending. Whenever I sent e-mail from my me.com account, the message would end up submission pending. I thought to solve the issue by deleting the account and then recreating it.
However, once I did that, I found I couldn't actually log in to the new account. I am not mistyping the password or using the old one. When I type in the correct password, MailMate comes back with [Server response: “A0 NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed”. Command attempted: “A0 AUTHENTICATE PLAIN ••••••••••”.]
Since I KNOW I'm typing in the correct password and it works on my other e-mail programs, I'm pretty sure the issue is with MailMate. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

me.com
some users have reported that the username must beusername
instead ofusername@me.com
. Could you try this (File ▸ Edit IMAP Account ▸ ...)?If that doesn't work then send me your server settings using “Help ▸ Send Feedback”.
