winmail.dat
Reported by Charles Clements | March 14th, 2014 @ 08:20 PM
I receive Outlook inline pasted attachments as "winmail.dat" attachments that do not open correctly. When I was using Apple Mail, I used an add-on called Attachment Tamer that would process these correctly. Is there any way to configure MailMate to handle these?

MailMate actually has
winmail.dat
handling built-in. Any attachments should be auto-expanded and shown within the message view. Could you send me an example message using “Help ▸ Send Feedback”? You can use “Message ▸ Forward as Attachment” or “Message ▸ Redirect” (if you are using the latest beta). -

Thanks for the example. I can reproduce the issue and I'll look into it.

Are you sure this
winmail.dat
file actually contains anything? (This is not always the case.) -

I've added that MailMate shows a comment in the message even if no attachments are found within the attached
winmail.dat
file. Let me know if you have a message for which you know an attachment can be extracted from thewinmail.dat
file, but MailMate fails to do so. -

Hi,
Not sure if I should open a new ticket, I came across this, just received an email with a 700KB winmail.dat attachment that MailMate doesn't extract.
I'm using version 4199, I think it's the latest.I can forward it to you if you need.
Thanks
