  also make 2 separate context menu items mark as read and mark as unread
  why:
  - just now the context is alternate: it only has only one of the menu items depends on the read status of the item - and mark as unread if all selected messages are read - and mark as read are always visible if one of the selected messages is unread (also mixed read and unread)

  This is a very old ticket, but let me provide an update:

  There is a “Mark All as Unread” menu item for mailboxes. It has no shortcuts and probably won't get one, but one could be added using custom key bindings. (I think it's too “dangerous” using the same one as for single messages.) There's no “Mark as Read”, but “Select All” followed by marking as read is good enough in the rare cases needing this.

  Icons: I've noted this and hopefully it'll be added soon.

  Context sensitive menu: You'll get the toolbar buttons behaving like this, but the menus are already too crowded in my opinion. Also, I like that it's the same shortcut and just need to hit it twice when there's a mix of states.
