editing rule in UI eventually "goes bad"

I'm not sure what is causing it but I have a mailbox that I don't seem to be able to edit in the UI properly.
It feels like it is the number of "none" boxes that is causing the problem.
http://screencast.com/t/DqiL01qws shows my current setup and in this UI clicking + to add another rule seem to fail (nothing happens).
Other times I've clicked 5-6 times on +, closed the dialog and opened it again and now there were 5 new elements - but I haven't been able to reproduce it.
For now I "handedit" this rule in the .plist and things seem to work.
Note: what i'm trying to accomplish is to have a folder with all Unread and then create folders per current "interests" and have a "Everything else" which is unread - anything unread but not found everywhere else. If you know of a better way of doing it I would appreciate it ;)

Could you run MailMate from the Terminal and see if there is any output when + fails. Sounds like there might be some exceptions, but I cannot reproduce this behavior.
I might need your Mailboxes.plist file if you can reproduce this behavior.
I cannot think of a better way. What you need is probably a smart mailbox feature which allows you to show all messages of children mailboxes. That would allow you to group them and then use this group in your “Everything else” mailbox (which cannot be inside the group then). This feature is somewhere on my todo :-)
