Mapping Mailboxes to Folders

Reported by Chip Warren | November 14th, 2013 @ 04:26 AM

I'm giving MailMate a spin and I really love it. I'm used to being able to map the folders in my mail client to certain folders in my mail service (Fastmail) so sent mail, for instance, goes in the same folder no matter where I'm sending from (iPhone, MailMate, etc). Currently MailMate stores Sent Mail in a "Sent Messages" folder in Fastmail, but I would like to change that so it goes into Fastmail's default "Sent Items" folder. That way I won't have sent messages in two different places.

Thanks!

Chip

    • State changed from “new” to “resolved”

Right-click the “Sent Items” mailbox and look for “Mailbox Type”. Let me know if that does not fix the problem.

Usually, MailMate should have guessed the correct mailbox though if Sent Messages did not already exist (based on the “Sent” word), but maybe you imported some explicit mailbox settings from Apple Mail?

    Thanks for trying out MailMate!

    That did it, thanks!
