Feature Request -> quick search text box

Is there a way to get a quick search text box (which uses the default search criteria I have set) to be located to the right of the search button (like there is in Apple Mail)?
It would save me one step from actually clicking search instead of just typing in contents.

Sorry, but no. Maybe some day but not in the immediate future. I would recommend learning the shortcut ⌥⌘F (or ⌃⌥⌘F) for now.
