Sidebar minimum width is too wide

I'd like to reduce the width of my sidebar to give more space to the list of messages. However, if I try dragging the edge of the sidebar to make it smaller, the sidebar disappears.

Can you allow making the sidebar width about 25% narrower than it does now?
