Failures in moving messages to spam after migration to new computer

Reported by Adrian G | June 19th, 2023 @ 01:24 PM

I recently migrated to a Mac Studio from an Intel-chipped MacBook Pro. I performed the migration with the Migration Assistant, copying all data over from the MBP via a Thunderbolt cable.

Since then, whenever I wake the MS from sleeping overnight, I'm met with a series of popups that say it's unable to move messages to the spam folder. It claims that the server responded with "H18 NO COPY failed" to the command "H18 UID COPY 21956 Spam" -- this action is handled by SpamSieve.

If I click "Retry," then the messages are moved without any issue. The problem never happens when I'm actively using the machine, and I get dozens of spam messages each day. There's nothing in the log on my mail server, and there's nothing interesting that shows up in the Activity viewer when I retry. I've been using MailMate for months, and I've never encountered this issue until using it on my new Mac.

I would attach a photo, but this issue tracker reports "Upload Quota Reached - Please notify the account owner." You can view a screenshot at https://drop.monach.us/f/2535e3c61fa84f0da47d/ instead.
