Weird inbox columns with latest new beta release

When I updated to 5937 some new column weirdness appears in my inbox. I'll list what I observe:
- The "To" column appeared and cannot be removed. In previous versions I could uncheck the "To" column in "View -> Columns" but that is greyed out now.
- The threading feature "Organize by Thread" appears under the "To" column, whereas before it appeared under the "From" column. (It doesn't make sense to me to have it under the "To" column at all)
I've looked through release notes, and tried all the settings I can think of, but can't seem to find a solution. Running the latest version of MacOS Monterey (haven't upgraded to Ventura yet).
Is it just me observing this? Or have I missed something?

I found the issue. I apologize for jumping the gun on filing a ticket.
The solution is to change the "outline column" from "To" to something else, which then allows you to remove the "To" column. I've no idea why it switched when I upgraded, but the issue is resolved.
