Hint for folded Source list

Hello!
My email-provider had an outage and MailMate took the account offline. Accidentally I hid the list of Source accounts. Later when I retried fetching my mails I panicked because no accounts were listed under Sources! Luckily the Sources were simply folded but it took me some time to realize it. There is no indicator and I have to hoover over the "Sources" for getting the bubble... Maybe you can play with the font for a better indication, if the Sources are folded or not?

This is a side-effect of a visual change by Apple (OS X Lion). It's the same in Apple Mail. I'm not sure how I can fix it.
What do you mean by “playing with the font”?
One option would be to show a count of the sources when it's collapsed. Maybe using “SOURCES (3)” or by using a badge -- but the latter indicates a count of messages. Both options would probably make the user try to hover over the line. Another option would be to disallow collapsing the SOURCES group. But I'd like to come up with a better solution (which does not involve custom drawing).
Any ideas?

I am not sure if you can change the font style but how about changing color/style of the font (bold/italic/...)
I am surprised that Apples GUI Guide enforces such weird user experience. Steve is turning over in his grave ;-)
