Can't Fetch Fastmail

I have Mailmate connected to my Fastmail account on my iMac, no problem. Big Sur, Dev. Seed. I installed it exactly the same way on my MBP. I created an app-specific password and there is no error, but the mailboxes aren't enumerated so I can't see any mail.
Any thoughts?

You are not getting any error messages?
Is the account online under Sources in the mailbox list, that is, not greyed out or any indication of error. Is the INBOX shown with a bold font? (Shows that it is fully synchronized and waiting for new messages.)

Oddly, when I added an iCloud account, the Fastmail account began functioning properly.
