Mail move stuck, account unusable

Hi,
I have been using Mailmate for a few weeks so i'm fairly new to it. This morning a problem occurred. I moved a message from the inbox, with the 'move to..' command. By accident, I selected a 'public folder' which cannot be used for this. As a result, mailmate now gives the following error every few minutes:
MailMate encountered the following error: “Server
response: “J14 NO CREATE Cannot create folder 'Public
Folders'”. Command attempted: “J14 CREATE "Public
Folders"”.”.
Mailbox: “INBOX”.
I can only take the account offline, other options like retry obviously do not work. Is there a way to find this move action and revert it?
In addition, i can't find the option to remove the mailbox in the menu, under mailbox, it is greyed out. I use the 1.14 5757 release under Mac OS 11.1.
Please advise?
