Is there a way to expire specific messages?

I know rules are automatically applied on messages when they arrive in the inbox. And apparently there is no other (automatic) way to trigger them?
This is what I would like to do. I receive quite some messages that are only relevant for a few days. Eg discount offerings that are only valid today.I would love to be able to have mail expire (and moved to the Trash) after 2-3 days. So that I never have more than 2-3 of those daily offering mails in my mailbox.
Ideally, I would create different categories (expires after 1 day, after 3 days, after 7 days, after 1 month, etc) and so automatically keep my inbox up-to-date - at least for these kind of mails.
Is there a way to set this up in MailMate? Any thoughts?
