Nested sub mailboxes do not update correctly

I can reliably reproduce following these steps:
- Have more than one source account
- Create a smartmailbox
- Enable Submailbox for each value of Tags
- Enable Submailbox for messages of each account
- Tag a message, sub mailbox gets automatically created as
expected
- Untag the same message, sub mailbox remains with the message in it (but without tag).
There is a flicker to suggest mailbox is refreshing but counts etc stay the same. Selecting another mailbox, syncing or quitting mailmate does not help. Turning off either of the Sub mailbox options (and then on again) corrects it, until you remove another tag.
If you do all the above except step 4 (sub mailbox per account) it all works as expected.
MM r5655, tested on two machines with different sources: Mac OS 10.12.6 and Mac OS 10.14.1
