Feature request: Shortcut for adding search terms
Reported by larrycz | March 16th, 2012 @ 12:12 PM
To perform a search with 2 search terms:
1. start a search query
2. type first search term
3. add second search term
4. move to second search term
5. type second search term
Keyboard shortcuts:
1. Option+Cmd+F
2. type
3. no keyboard shortcut
4. Tab
5. type
The absence of keyboard shortcut in step 3 is a usability killer, because I have to use the mouse or trackpad just to click that little plus button.

It has been quite a while since this was filed, but this is something I've been wondering about as well. Is there any way to add search terms via keyboard shortcuts that might have been added since?

@Tom: No. It is more likely that some kind of quick search interface is introduced. That is, you won't usually need the detailed search rule editor.
It is, by the way, possible to enable full keyboard access in the System Preferences and then one can tab to the plus-button. It won't be much better than using the mouse/track-pad though.
