Blacklisting is not working as expected

Reported by Vitalii | February 11th, 2019 @ 08:49 AM

I want to block all emails from specific address. I've tried to add address to Blacklist but those emails still goes straight to my Index. This is not how I expect Blacklist to work. Basically it does not work at all. How can I block all emails from that address?

The naming of this feature is unfortunately not as clear as it should be. The blacklisting only refers to the address not being used in the completion feature in the recipient headers of new messages.

MailMate does not have a built-in junk-filter (which one could argue that blacklisting senders is a variant of) other than the integration with third party SpamSieve.

The best you can do is to create a folder for emails from blacklisted senders and then setup a rule with something like:

Condition: From ▸ Address is in “Blacklist Mailbox” From Address
    Action: Move to “Deleted Messages”

Whenever you want to blacklist a sender then you move an email to the Blacklist Mailbox.

    I hope that helps.

I didn't manage to do that. I've created Blacklist mailbox but not able to add emails into it. When I choose "Move to Mailbox" it's not in the list.
