Emails sent from wrong account
Reported by Cliff Veal | August 30th, 2018 @ 07:49 PM
I'm new to Mailmate so please bear with me. I have 6 accounts (one is my wife's), all in Mailmate. I realized recently that when sending an email from my account (and it shows as my account in the pull-down), it consistently arrives in target account with my wife's email as the return address.
At one point I had somehow marked both my account and hers in the contacts list as "My Card". I have tried deleting her card completely, but the above behavior persists.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks in advance,
Cliff Veal

Hmm, MailMate should respect what you see in the “From” popup. One possible explanation is if the server rewrites the headers of the message. This could happen, e.g., if you use Gmail and you have configured the wrong username for the SMTP part of the settings. Check your account settings to see if this might be the problem.
(I don't think “My Card” plays any role.)
If that doesn't help then I'll provide instructions on how to let me have a look at your settings.

I had not realized that my wife was having the same problem, and that on a MBP13 NOT running Mailmate. So the problem is not a MM one. I went in and cleaned up her and my address book and reassigned "MyCard" and it now seems to be working properly. Sorry for the false alarm.

- State changed from new to resolved
Hmm, I'm not sure how it could be related to “My Card” (in MailMate), but I'm glad it's resolved.
