Mailmate cannot access Keychain

#1860

For the past several days, I am receiving an error when I start Mailmate which reads:

"Unable to read your license from the system’s keychain. Unless you explicitly denied access for this application, the reason can be that the application signature is no longer valid.
It is recommended that you re-download MailMate."

I have already verified that the license generated in Keychain by Mailmate is there and that Mailmate has access to it (or so at least is what Keychain indicates)

Is this issue related to Mailmate?
If so, which others steps could I take in order to resolve it without losing my actual Mailmate configuration?

Thank you very much indeed for your time,
Ignacio.

    You can, of course, try to re-download MailMate, but the issue might be a problem with your keychain. I recommend looking into if there is a problem with your iCloud keychain in your iCloud settings (System Preferences).

    You won't lose your MailMate configuration. The problem is related to your keychain and not directly with MailMate (it's very unlikely that it would help to start over with MailMate).

    Same problem here. I've tried to remove the Mailmate license key from my keychain to force creation of a new, clean record. But when I add it I have the following error message:

    Unable to add your license to the system’s keychain.

    SecKeychainItemCreateFromContent() returned status code -25293.

    Error: errKCAuthFailed / errSecAuthFailed

    Command: / Authorization/Authentication failed.

    @Romain: Have you tried rebooting? The issue is likely related to the issue also discussed in ticket #1902. (To simplify things I'll mark this ticket as a duplicate.)
