Tags from MailTags not showing up in MailMate

Hi,
I'm using two email clients on my Mac.
First is mail.app, second is mailmate for more powerusery
features.
I'm using the MailTags plugin from Indev, which tags mails using IMAP keywords and syncs them back to the server. I thought I'd see those tags in MailMate but I don't - so I'm trying to figure out why.
My mail is stored on fastmail, which lets me use IMAP keywords but doesn't make them visible on the web interface ... so I can't check if they actually ARE present or not.
How can I check what Mail Mate is doing, and why it's not downloading tags?

You need to go to the Tags preferences pane in MailMate and tell MailMate about the existence of these tags (and map them to the IMAP keywords). MailMate cannot just make all IMAP keywords into tags since some of them should not be exposed to the user. For debugging, note the “Raw Flags” column in the message list. It shows all IMAP flags/keywords for each message.
