Cloud Attachment handling

Reported by J.A. Duke | May 14th, 2015 @ 02:07 PM

I’ve been using an Apple Mail plug-in called CargoLifter (http://www.chungwasoft.com/cargolifter/) to upload large attachments for my non-iCloud accounts to a cloud service.

For one of my clients, I’ve setup an OwnCloud site to handle their attachments. Works great.

Can you implement something like this in MailMate? While plug-ins are undocuments in Apple Mail, I suspect that offering something like this would be a nice differentiator in the the mail client market.

Note that Chungwa has some other interesting plug-ins like ForgetMeNot and SendLater. I don’t know if MM supports their functionality, but those would be great features to add down the road.

Thanks.
Jon

Sorry about the (extremely) late reply.

I consider it a missing feature that MailMate does not have some way to do cloud-based attachments. Preferably in a way which would make it easy to add more cloud services. But it has been a missing feature for a very long time and therefore I should probably not make any promises with regard to when it'll be added.

MailMate does have some “Send Later” functionality. See here and here.
