Smartmailbox - Submailboxes of recently used mailboxes
Reported by Paul | April 22nd, 2015 @ 03:15 AM
I'd like to create a smartmailbox called "Recent" which has as Submailboxes a list of all my other mailboxes in order of most-recently-accessed. Or, perhaps the list of the 20 (say) most recently accessed mailboxes, in that order.
This could be an option in the "Submailboxes" pane of the create smartmailbox dialog. And since MailMate already manages mailboxes by recency of access (for instance when I use "Go To Mailbox"), I guess it isn't too hard to reuse that code for this purpose. :-)
Thanks
Paul.

- State changed from new to bluesky
Hmm, I'll note that as a possible sorting condition, but it's not as trivial as it might sound. It has to dynamically update whenever you access a mailbox. It might even be a bit confusing with these mailboxes jumping around. This'll go into the “bluesky” category, that is, not a high priority.

Yes, it'd need to update dynamically. But it looks like the other "submailbox" options need to be dynamic as well - responding to the content of individual messages as they arrive?
As for "confusing" - that's just another work for "smart" isn't it? ;-)
But I understand, if not easily implemented, and not in high demand, then it's blue sky.
Thanks.

Yes, but they are dynamic in different ways. One is message-change-based and the other is mailbox-change-based which means it cannot be based on the same code. It is, of course, possible to implement. I just have a very long todo :-)
