Read messages - text stays bold

Hi, most of the messages I received stay as bold font even after
i've read them, even though i've ticked
unread messages in bold, and mark as read after 20 seconds. So i
keep manually marking them as read. Am i doing /have I set up
something incorrectly.

Sounds like it should work. It might be easier to test if you reduce 20 to a smaller number. If you can see the content of a message in some window then it should automatically be marked read after the configured number of seconds. Note that the setting has a checkmark which must also be enabled.
