Can't get beyond database rebuild

Hi -

Using the latest build, I'm stuck and can't get a working database. Either rebuilding from cached messages or downloading never completes successfully. I have 10+ GB of mail, so this has been a time consuming process.

    I'm sorry to hear that. Could you describe what happens when you rebuild in both cases? Does it crash immediately or after some specific action.

    Did this problem arise after updating to the latest test release?

    I have 2 crash reports from you. Both are the same issue and something I'd like to investigate, but they don't seem to be related to rebuilding. They seem to be related to moving messages. Any comments to that?

    A. It does not crash immediately, but my inboxes don't sync and happens after a few minutes. Didn't seem to make a difference which option I choose.

    B. Yes,this is a problem with the new version after launching to 4374. Happened on two machines.

    C. Are the crash reports from today? I don't think I've been able to move any mail today since they inboxes don't sync.

    Sorry I'm a tough customer...

    Yes, crash reports are from today with the latest release. They are triggered by deleting messages (implicitly moving to Deleted Messages).

    If the result is the same then stick to rebuilding from cache (since it's faster). But when does MailMate ask to rebuild again?

    Anything else you can tell me. The more details the better.

    If you think it is related to r4374 then you can try downgrading to r4214 (the latest beta).

    (Unfortunately, I won't be able to help more today and I have very little time tomorrow. I am available Saturday though.)

    Hmm, on my home computer the rebuild seems to have solved the issue. I'll experiment more on my work computer when I have a second. It's a holiday weekend in the US.

    I seem to be fine at this point.

    I was able to rebuild using cached messages, then syncing my inboxes one at a time and waiting considerable time between them.
