Inbox not "bolding" despite good communication with online IMAP account
Reported by Meindert | April 22nd, 2014 @ 12:26 AM
One inbox is not displaying in boldface despite the fact that it seems to be connecting up with its online account without a problem. Its a Gmail account (Google Apps with my domain). Four other such accounts, plus one full-blown gmail.com account, are all bolding.

What happens if you select the INBOX of the account and right-click to “Synchronize”? Does it then enter the bold state?

No, it doesn't seem to change the bold state. But right now MailMate is in the middle of what looks to be a 1-day or more process of moving 42,000 messages from the Gmail account to a new Runbox account, so I'm afraid to experiment too much for fear of interrupting the process.
Once that's done I'll delete the non-bolding rogue account.
At that point I'll transfer four smaller Google accounts, and then I'll have time to start looking into the more arcame features of MailMate.
By the way, after so long with Sparrow I'm really having fun rummaging through a decade of old mail, finding old memories. Sparrow made it hard to see past e-mails (sort of like Twitter makes it hard to look through old tweets).

I think this problem went away for me when I started disabling VirusBarrier when downloading Gmail.
Although there have been some sort of bug in why the account was not bolded, I consider it solved for me. At some point I might contact the VirusBarrier people and ask for help on figuring out exactly what sort of interference might be happening with Gmail, but it's a low priority now.
