I believe this is fixed in the latest test release: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane. If that doesn't help then you can try an older release here: https://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/

Unfortunately still doesn't work, it is constantly crashing. I deleted the app, reinstalled an older version, but still doesn't work. I haven't deleted the preferences files from Application Support, as I don't want to set up everything from scratch - I leave it as an ultimate resort...

I am giving up guys, sorry. I have uninstalled MailMate, without proper support I can't rely on your software.

I'm very sorry about that!! (Somehow I missed your ticket update possibly because I thought it was the one I already replied to.)

If you are willing to give it another go then let me know. I've taken another look at the crash report and it appears I mis-interpreted it at first. Apparently the issue is triggered after an SMTP error when MailMate subsequently tries to display the problematic message in a Composer window. My guess is that if you keep the machine offline then MailMate won't crash after launch (because it cannot try to send the message), but it'll perhaps still crash if you try to open the related draft (outgoing message). If this is the case then it might be easier to debug if I can get a copy of this message (or just its headers). The problem appears to be related to one of the recipient headers (to or cc).

(This is not to be considered a valid excuse: I'm currently on a rare extended family vacation in Sri Lanka. Internet connections are flaky and time to work is scarce. I should still be relatively quick on serious issues, but I completely failed on this one. I should be back January 9th after which replies should be more regular — at least after clearing out my Inbox.)

    Hi Benny,

Thank you for replying to my note. Your suggestion actually helped. There was a stuck email in the drafts - I have no idea how it happened as in Apple Mail it was clearly not visible. I went offline as you suggested and as soon as I have deleted the draft note, all went back to normal after connecting online.

    I am a happy camper (happy MailMate-er again! :-)

Thanks for helping me out! Now we can close the ticket happily!

    Zsolt

I'm glad it works. If it happens again then let me know. I would like to fix the bug which was somehow triggered by one of those recipient headers.
