Gmail: drafts sent after saving: "Failed to move message"

Hi there,
This looks to be the exact same problem as I found on:

Writing a Gmail draft, then saving it, then sending it results in the message:
Server response: “J13 NO [ALERT] Cannot MOVE messages out of the Drafts folder (Failure)”. Command attempted: “J13 UID MOVE 7533 "[Gmail]/Sent Mail"”.

Any chance it has been solved...?
If not, what workaround do you suggest? I see in the Gmail interface that there are a bunch of pseudo-drafts in the email threads from today—if I hit 'send' on them will Gmail be smart enough not to actually re-send each of them, and rather just move the draft to Sent Mail?
(I've recently hit the 30-day limit, which is why I'm suddenly typing and saving lots of drafts. I'm loving MailMate, a breath of fresh air moving from Apple Mail.)

Update: hitting 'send' on the pseudo-draft in Gmail's interface does indeed re-send the email, so this is not ideal.

I think the best workaround for you is to take the “Drafts” mailbox offline. You do that by going down to SOURCES in the mailbox list and locate “[Gmail]/Drafts” (it might have a different name) and then right-click to “Take Offline”. This way the drafts are now synchronized with the server and MailMate would instead upload them directly to “Sent Messages”.
I'm not sure how to solve it without doing the above. The weird thing is that I cannot reproduce it. It might be race condition of some sort. When sending, MailMate updates the message with the current date and then the behavior might depend on what happens faster: Sending or update the draft on the server... (Just thinking out loud here.)

Thanks for the response. I’ve since bought Mailmate and am enjoying the extra power and predictability.
I’ve taken the offending Gmail > [Gmail] > Drafts folder offline, but I’m not quite sure whether this is a way to stop the problem happening again, or a way to get the offending emails to move to sent items in Gmail correctly? If the latter, are there other steps to follow? I’ve taken the Drafts folder back online, to no effect.

Taking the Drafts folder offline should stop the alerts. The only functionality you lose is the ability to edit an email on one machine and sending it with another (which usually only works well if it's the same email client on two different machines/devices).
Emails in the drafts folder triggering the alert can be deleted using “Messages ▸ Delete Now” (which appears when holding down ⌥). They should, at least in theory, already exist in the sent mail folder, because Gmail saves a copy itself.
I'm going to close the ticket, but you can still comment and I'm still aware that there's something here which could be improved.
