Smart mailbox date within last 2 days displays last 3 days

Reported by larrycz | June 1st, 2011 @ 09:52 PM

MailMate rev 2156

A smart mailbox with "Date within last 1 day" gives me today's emails only

A smart mailbox with "Date within last 2 days" gives me today's, yesterday's and the day before's emails.

Note that it is based on the Date: header and not the received date. Could this explain it?

(Then we can discuss whether it should be based on received date instead. I'll need to think about that :-) )

I just tried again and the behaviour is different:

A smart mailbox with "Date within last 1 day" gives me today's and yesterday's emails

A smart mailbox with "Date within last 2 days" is like before

I need to experiment more to find out what makes the difference.

Regarding "Date:" vs actual received date, that's a good question. Check what other email clients do. "Date:" seems to be the more sensible way.
