Freron MailMate

Using version 1.9.2 (5107), I was going through a large number of Mailing Lists and deleting all messages in most of them. It looks like one mailing list (specifically from Google Groups "mailplaneapp" digests, with apparently many messages) has put MailMate in a loop I can't get out of. For each message I selected to delete, I get the following:

Tip: Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0) before retrying. The IMAP log file might provide additional information.

"Cancel Move" "Retry"

I've clicked Cancel Move for about 10 minutes, but it won't stop. Restarting MailMate puts it right back in the loop.

Suggestion?
