store most recent searches

When using the GMail shortcut I would like to see my most recent 5 or 10 searches and select one. If I were to use one frequently I would probably turn it into a virtual mailbox.

By “Gmail shortcut”, do you mean the toolbar search field? (Note that this has a menu with the most recent searches.)
