Send to OmniFocus not working in Yosemite

Reported by Mike Schmitz | September 11th, 2014 @ 03:25 PM

I am a developer and upgraded to the latest Yosemite beta release (Developer Preview 7), but when I did send to OmniFocus (version 2.0.2) stopped working. I am running version 1.8 (4469) of MailMate. I thought maybe this was a Yosemite issue or an OmniFocus issue as the Clip-o-Tron 3001 also doesn't work in Mail.app, but send to OmniFocus DOES still work in Postbox. Please advise.

I'm not on Yosemite at the moment and therefore cannot verify this (I also only have the public beta installed).

    You can try enabling this:

defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmDebugCommands -bool YES

And then launch from the Terminal:

    /Applications/MailMate.app/Contents/MacOS/MailMate

Do you get any error messages?

Yes, I do get an error:

There's something in there about a bad ruby interpreter which I saw in the forums, but the fix was to option-click "Check for Updates" (which I've done). Anyway, hope this helps.

Ah, that's the problem. You have an old manually installed version of the bundle you need to delete:

    ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Bundles/OmniFocus.mmBundle

    Hi,

I'm using the the bundle supplied with the latest beta, and it doesn't work for me either (on Yosemite GM release).

Warning: Failed to run command (/var/folders/gc/4vlq54997kdcyrvxhx61j63m0000gn/T/mailmate_command.HQ7soC: /Applications/MailMate.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Bundles/OmniFocus.mmBundle/Support/bin/add: /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/bin/ruby: bad interpreter: No such file or directory

    Thanks,

@Fredrik: Are you sure it's the latest beta? The error output indicates that is not the case. Use the “About” menu to see the revision number. Use the Software Update preferences pane to update to the latest beta.

Okay, updating to the latest beta solved the problem. Thanks!

I downloaded version 1.8 (4214) a few minutes ago from the "latest beta" link on freron.com, that's why I thought I had the latest :)

Great, I was leaning towards postbox since Evernote and OmniFocus integration worked under Yosemite, but I was really more interested in MailMate. Problem solved!

This isn't working for me, but I'm using OmniFocus 2 in Yosemite. I get no error messages with the MmDebugCommands on. It's just that nothing is happening.

@Jordan: Do you get any output at all with MmDebugCommands?
